Privacy policy
How I collect, use and look after your personal information, under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Who this applies to
This policy covers personal information collected through this website by Craig Fegan, trading as Fegan Financial. When you receive financial advice, your information is also handled under the AIA NZ Privacy Statement.
What I collect
When you send an enquiry, I collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the topic you’re interested in, and anything you choose to write in your message.
This website doesn’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and it doesn’t build a profile of you.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a time to talk.
- If you go on to receive advice, as part of that advice process.
I won’t add you to a mailing list, sell your information, or share it with anyone for marketing.
Who it’s shared with
Only the services needed to deliver your enquiry to me (the website host and email provider), and — if you go ahead with advice — AIA Thrive and the insurers you choose to apply to, with your agreement. Some of these providers may store information outside New Zealand; I only use providers that protect it to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead to advice are deleted within 12 months. Where you receive advice, records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you and ask me to correct it. Contact me, or AIA’s Privacy Officer at NZ.Privacy@AIA.com or 0800 500 108. If you’re not satisfied with how I’ve handled a privacy matter, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
